Michael Whittlesea was born in London, England
and attended Harrow School of Art in the north
west of the city. He initially followed a career in
publishing, during which he painted without
exhibiting but, since 1985, he has exhibited
widely in the UK, notably in the Royal Academy
Summer Exhibition, the high profile Singer
Friedlander Sunday Times Watercolour Exhibition
and at several other prestigious London venues
including the Mall Galleries and the Royal
College of Art. Michael's work is published as
greetings cards and he is a member of two major
art institutions in the UK, the Royal Society of
Painters in Watercolour and the New English
Art Club.
