Shari White feels that she has been possessed
with creating designs that combine antiquities
with a twentieth century sensibility. “A great
deal of my inspiration is derived from the
classics,” said White.
Born and raised on the East Coast, White began
her art training at 14-years-old when she entered
the high school of Art and Design in New York
City. White went on to complete her BFA from
Parson School Of Design, NY.
“Much of my work is heavily influenced by
history; I am constantly inspired by
contemporary
culture. I like surprises”
Shari’s originals have been shown in galleries
throughout the country and have produced
numerous commissions in the states and abroad.
Her art can be found in collections such as The
Hyatt Regency, San Francisco, Park Hyatt,
Chicago, and the Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas.
“Through energetically worked surfaces and
historical and contemporary references, I hope
to create paintings that are not only beautiful
but also provoke a feeling of peace and
meditation“
