Mike Sullivan was born and brought up in the
beautiful south west of England in 1947 and
began to study photography as a hobby during
his childhood. He developed the styles and
techniques that he needed for various formats
on his own. His mother was also somewhat of a
camera enthusiast and she exposed him to the
wonders of the photographic lens as a
youngster.

After learning how to develop and print his own
photos he has never looked back. By the time
he was 15 he had sold pictures to major news
agencies throughout the world.

After setting up his own photographic businesses
across the region he filmed news and features
for BBC TV News for a number of years.

In 1980, he left the BBC and concentrated on
developing his businesses both in the UK and
then in Spain whilst continuing to do a wide
variety of photographic work.

Today, Mike’s work is published on greeting
cards, calendars, post cards, posters, reports,
catalogues, and electronic mediums. He is
represented by Bentley Publishing in the US,
various publishing houses in Europe, and
Blossoms & Bows (plus many others) in the UK.
Mike also sells fine prints on his award nominated
website www.panographsworldwide.com
where scenes of exotic far-flung locations are
captured.

Mike’s photography is featured in Art Business
Today magazine. He is a Member of the Fine Art
Trade Guild.

He specialises in panoramic landscapes and
large format images, shooting exclusively on Fuji
Velvia film. Mike’s love of all things photographic
has led to the building of an expansive
collection of collectable classic cameras ranging
from 1880’s to 1990’s. which he hopes to exhibit
in the future for those interested in the history of
photography.

Mike is considering conducting photography
workshops in Cornwall where he is now based
when not travelling.
