She combines numerous techniques and
materials to create mixed media works,
utilizing, patterns and symbols from a
multicultural perspective.
Maria exhibits her work internationally. In
addition to traditional gallery shows, she
frequently works on commissioned pieces for
both residential and hospitality clients.
“The work is East Meets West in both
imagery and techniques. It is a reflection of
my own background and heritage, as well
as the East/West environment in which we
live. The work just flows out of me. Once I get
an image in my mind, I want to release it
onto the canvas right away. Each work of is
a journey in of itself.”
