Stan was born in Banbury, England in 1952 to
Polish parents.
He lived in the Cotswolds until he was seven
years old, when he moved to Birmingham. Stan
attended Moseley Road Art School from the
age of 11 and then, at the age of 18, started a
three year apprenticeship at Hurlston Design in
Birmingham, a design studio where he worked
illustrating and designing brochures for various
clients.
At the age of 21, Stan left Hurlston Design to
work in a variety of advertising agencies as a
designer and art director.
Then, eight years later, the opportunity arose for
Stan to go freelance as a freelance illustrator.
He worked day and night to produce a
substantial portfolio of work, constantly knocking
on advertising agencies' doors until he was
entrusted with commissions for their clients.
Thereafter, Stan's work appeared in National
poster campaigns for several major clients and
on National Television. Stan's work has sold
worldwide through Sotheby's & Christies Art
auctions. Many paintings are available as
published prints in open & limited editions.
