Tara Gamel grew up in the beautiful mountains
of Colorado. She became interested in art at an
early age. She decided to further her education
in Phoenix Arizona. After her studies she began to
free-lance as a portrait artist using mainly
watercolor. She loved the soft natural look of
watercolor, but wanted to create more bright
an richly toned images. Tara began
experimenting with different mediums creating
layers of texture, and found it easier to achieve
the bright and richly toned images she always
wanted to create. She also paints a variety of
subjects in various palettes and techniques
which allows her to explore the painting process
which she enjoys. Tara's work is shown in various
galleries through the southeast and Arizona. She
plans to continue painting from her home studio
while she and her husband Stacy raise their
three children.
