With his roots in a farming community, Loren Entz
finds inspiration and beauty in the character of
the people who live close to the land. While he
portrays their spirit to endure and survive, he
strives to create paintings with a poignant
insight which lifts the human spirit.
Loren Entz is a master portrait and figure
impressionist, whose characters reveal a
gentleness, compassion and love of life. Each
character is a study within a real life moment
in an everyday story.
His paintings depict the warmth, pride and
nurturing inter-relationships between family
members, between cowboy and calf, or
between a violin maker and his instrument.
Loren's art gives one a recollection of everyday
western frontier homestead farm and ranch life
as practiced then and now.
He has studied at several prestigious institutions
including: Famous Artist's School, Westport,
Connecticut; Hesston College, Hesston, Kansas;
Longview College, Kansas City, Missouri and
Eastern Montana College, Billings, Montana.
Entz spends a great deal of time traveling to
study the works of the masters in museums and
particularly admires the Realist Impressionists
John Singer Sargent, Anders Zorn and Joaquin
Sorolla.
His works are in many collections that include
several famous artists. His originals are currently
on display and for sale at Pierce Fine Art of
Scottsdale, Arizona.
Prints from Loren Entz are published exclusively
and distributed worldwide by Bentley House of
Walnut Creek, California.
