Francesco
Agresti was born in Itri, Italy, where he
spent his childhood. He later moved to New York
where he received his education, BFA and MFA,
and his first success.
Agresti is very lucky in that he is able to return
to his roots and the old world with all its charm,
at least once a year. He has a studio on the
Via Appia.
Agresti has several showings and representations
in Italy, Germany, Russia and many in the USA as
well, including New York, Iowa, North Carolina,
Maryland, Georgia and Florida.
He was represented by several Galleries, mostly
in New York City, before moving back to Italy
for some years, to pursue his passion to paint,
teach at University(Napoli), and tend to his
olive grove.
On returning to America in the early nineties,
he taught at Universities and Colleges in the
Winston-Salem, Greensboro N.C. area. This is
where he became a Professor in the visual arts.
He has now found paradise in Venice, Florida
where he now resides, creates and paints.
Presently his work is commercially represented by
2 local Galleries in Venice and in Sarasota FL , as
well as in Lohfelden-Kassel, Germany.
