Peter
Adams was born in London & now lives on
the edge of the Cotswolds. However these days
he spends a large chunk of the year travelling
the globe, having so far documented over 40
countries.
In his early twenties, he took various jobs to fund
trips such as trekking in Nepal, & backpacking
around Europe. Later the photography became
the main motivation.
At the age of 27, he set up as a self-employed
photographer. It was a difficult start. At the time,
he was sharing a flat above a cheese shop in
Bristol with six other people. The phone only took
incoming calls so business was conducted from
the phone box outside! However, he gradually
picked up commissions from advertising & design
agencies, whilst putting any profits into building
up a library of landscape & travel images.
His pictures are now widely found in
newspapers, magazines, advertising, CD’s,
books, cards, posters and so on, and can be
seen at www.padamsphoto.com.
